This work explore the enduring ties between ancestry, memory, and identity through a series of hand-formed ceramic chains. Each link is individually constructed and connected, emphasizing both the strength and vulnerability of inherited histories. The varying clay bodies and surface tones reflect the layered nature of lineage, where generations carry traces of hardship, resilience, and transformation.

Suspended between sculpture and metaphor, the chain serves as a record of lives connected across time. It speaks to the weight of history while honoring the bonds that continue to shape family, community, and cultural memory. Rather than depicting a single narrative, the work invites viewers to consider how identity is forged through those who came before us and the legacy we choose to carry forward.
